Insurance Information

We accept most dental insurance and will file your insurance claim as a courtesy for you.  We are not on any restricted provider lists, however you do not have to choose a dentist on that limited list to receive dental benefits.  Sierra Dental will work with you to help maximize your insurance so you receive the full benefit available to you.  In most cases there will only be a minimal difference in the percentage paid (approx. 10%).

Our office maintains computerized histories of payments by your insurance company. However, policies do change occasionally so we will be unable to provide a guaranteed quote at the time of service.  We estimate your co-payment based on the most up-to-date information provided by your insurance company - THIS ESTIMATE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE.  If you would like to know your exact insurance benefit, we will be glad to file a “Pre-Treatment Authorization” form with your insurance company prior to you receiving any treatment.  This will delay your treatment, but you will know your exact out-of-pocket costs before you begin your course of treatment.

We choose not to be on restricted provider lists for a variety of reasons; the main reason being that these plans actually may end up costing you more even though they pay a higher percentage of your treatment fees. Many dentists are on these restricted lists and agree to accept lower fees sometimes up to 50% of their normal fee.  But your savings in one area will typically be recouped in another. We Currently Take Visa, MC, Discover and Most Insurances are Accepted. Also, we file patient insurance as courtesy.
